THE POSITION - This is what we are all about
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding EPG’s market presence by generating qualified opportunities through proactive prospecting and targeted account engagement. Working closely with marketing and the Account Executive team, you will identify target organisations, initiate conversations with senior stakeholders, qualify opportunities and schedule discovery meetings that progress into the formal sales pipeline.
THE TASKS - You make a difference
- Drive outbound business development activity across defined target accounts within the US market
- Initiate prospect engagement through cold outreach including phone, email and digital channels
- Qualify leads and convert them into sales accepted opportunities
- Schedule and participate in early discovery meetings with Account Executives
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Work alongside marketing on campaigns, trade shows and lead generation initiatives
- Maintain accurate prospect activity and pipeline tracking within HubSpot CRM
- Support the wider sales organization by expanding relationships and identifying new opportunities
THE REQUIREMENTS - What makes you successful
- Proven experience in outbound business development, sales development or lead generation within enterprise software or technology environments
- Comfortable engaging prospects directly through proactive outreach and cold calling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior decision makers
- Experience in supply chain, logistics technology or adjacent enterprise software sectors is advantageous
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, SPIN or BANT
- Experience working with CRM and prospecting tools such as HubSpot, Zoho CRM and ZoomInfo
- Self-motivated, resilient and capable of handling objections and navigating early-stage sales conversations
