THE POSITION - This is what we are all about
Join Groenewout | a member of EPG, as a Logistics Mechanisation Consultant (m/f/d), where you will play a pivotal role in guiding customers through the design and implementation of logistics automation projects, from the initial tender to the go-live phase. With a foundation in mechanical engineering and a strong passion for logistics, you will manage the functional design and execution of AS/RS systems, AutoStore solutions, conveyor systems, and packaging lines, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to operation.
THE TASKS - You make a difference
- Lead the implementation of logistics automation projects with various suppliers as a implementation specialist.
- Translate conceptual designs and feasibility studies into detailed engineering plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers, IT teams, and operational staff to ensure alignment on system specifications and integration.
- Develop and document test plans and acceptance criteria for automated solutions.
- Oversee and execute system testing, including Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), technical availability tests, stress tests, and operational ramp-up.
- Provide hands-on support during implementation, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system performance.
- Ensure system compliance with safety regulations.
- Conceptually design logistics warehouses as part of feasibility studies, translating requirements into effective layout and process solutions.
THE REQUIREMENTS - What makes you successful
- You hold a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
- You have experience with implementing automated logistics solutions, such as shuttles, AutoStore, conveyors, and packaging lines.
- You like to take on responsibility.
- You have a strong affinity with logistics, warehouse automation and AI.
- You have hands-on experience with tender processes, supplier coordination, and system testing.
- You have experience with SketchUp and AutoCAD for layout visualization.
- You demonstrate strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
