Your tasks will be as follows: - You will develop, enhance, and maintain applications within the iSeries environment. - You will programme and optimise solutions using COBOL. - You will support database development and maintenance activities, particularly with DB2/400. - You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyse requirements and implement technical solutions. - You will contribute to gateway and integration-related tasks, including exposure to Lobster solutions where applicable. - You will support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Your profile includes the following qualifications: - You have 3–5 years of hands-on experience working in an iSeries environment. - You have strong programming expertise in COBOL; knowledge of C++ is considered an advantage. - You have solid database experience with DB2/400; exposure to MySQL, Oracle SQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus. - Understanding of Gateway solutions, particularly Lobster, is an advantage. - You are familiar with tools such as JIRA and Confluence. - You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured way of working. - You communicate effectively in English and thrive in collaborative environments.
