Mechanical Engineer
at our Pulaski Location
The Mechanical Engineer supports production operations by improving product quality, increasing manufacturing efficiency, and expanding production capabilities. This role works closely with Operations, Sales, and Customers to develop and implement new products, research and apply new manufacturing technologies, and identify and resolve production bottlenecks. The position plays a key role in ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
· Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues related to quality, safety, and efficiency
· Work with Sales and Customers to review new product requests and develop manufacturable, cost-effective processes
· Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing programs and customer projects
· Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance production line capabilities
· Analyze production lines to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and design corrective solutions
· Develop detailed project timelines for new equipment and process implementations and track progress
· Report schedule variances and monitor project costs against approved budgets
· Coordinate with internal departments including Maintenance, Quality, Product Mangement, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and HR
· Interface with external suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to support manufacturing objectives
· Develop long-term manufacturing plans aligned with current and future market needs
· Provide accurate and timely information to support operational and customer decision-making
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing changing priorities
· All other duties as assigned
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Packaging, Process Engineering, or equivalent field
· Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in packaging or production environments
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
· Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
· Preferred experience working directly with customers and suppliers
· Preferred exposure to capital equipment sourcing and implementation
· Preferred experience in change management and continuous improvement initiatives
· Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels
· Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
· High level of accuracy, dedication, and commitment
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer demands
Salary/Hourly starting at $65,000
