The Communications & Strategic Relations (COMS) department is responsible for positioning the entire research center among relevant target groups, developing and implementing sophisticated communication measures with and for our excellent researchers – across all communication channels. In this way, we increase both the visibility of scientific achievements and the attractiveness of Helmholtz Munich as an employer and as a preferred cooperation partner for other research institutions, university hospitals, and companies. A wide range of information services for patients, children, and young people completes our portfolio.

To strengthen our Website Communication and Development team, we are looking for an IT Project Manager Digital Communication (f/m/x) to start as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • You will take on the operational management and implementation of a website project and coordinate internal teams, external service providers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • You will develop strategies and action plans to achieve the project objectives.
  • You will be responsible for meeting timelines (milestones), budgets, and quality standards, including monitoring and reporting (e.g., via status reports).
  • You will develop a communication strategy for various internal stakeholders and implement it operationally.
  • You will create a training concept for internal webmasters and manage its implementation.

Your profile

  • You have a university degree in communications/media, a technical or scientific field, or possess a comparable qualification.
  • You have several years of experience in project management (traditional/agile/hybrid), ideally with a technical background, e.g., digital transformation projects or website relaunches.
  • You have experience working with content management systems (ideally TYPO3).
  • You are fluent in German and English.
  • You are highly organized and stand out through a structured working style, strategic thinking, and strong conceptual skills.
  • You work as a team player and are skilled in working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and hierarchical levels.

If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). This position is for a fixed term until 31.10.2027.
