W2-Professorship in Health Pedagogy for the Medical-Technical MT-Professions (m/f/d)

Your Profile
We are looking for a personality for our new degree programme “Health Pedagogy for the MT-Professions” with a completed university degree in the field of health pedagogy, medical pedagogy, nursing pedagogy, a closely related subject, or educational sciences with a focus on medicine/health.
The special aptitude for scientific work must normally be demonstrated by a qualified relevant doctorate. In addition, we expect at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years of practical experience in the pedagogical field of activity.
Practical experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
- Teaching in higher education within the last five years
- Digital higher education teaching
- Online-presence teaching
- Teaching experience in the healthcare sector
- Teaching experience in vocational education
- Own professional activity in a health profession
- Teaching and learning research with a focus on digital teaching, vocational pedagogy, health pedagogy, medical pedagogy or closely related fields
- Successful acquisition of third-party or public funding
The subject areas are to be represented both in teaching and in applied research. We expect very good didactical skills as well as the willingness to participate in the exchange with our international partner universities and to offer courses in English. In addition, we expect committed participation in teaching basic subjects and possibly giving lectures in related subject areas.
We expect the applicant to integrate themselves well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to get involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to the students.
The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck Institutes and Fraunhofer Institutes as well as companies. Intensifying and expanding these collaborations is highly desired.
Active participation in the university’s research activities is desired. In this context, we strive to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates.
We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high level of presence of the teaching staff at the university campus.
German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required. Teaching language ist mainly German.
The hiring requirements for professors are regulated in Sec 49 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
