The range of responsibilities associated with this position primarily includes teaching in the field of business psychology, with a focus on either Digital Experience and Human Behavior OR Workplace Health Management. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses on core areas of psychology such as General Psychology (perception, memory, thinking and language), Differential and Personality Psychology, Developmental and Educational Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Ethics and Academic Research Skills, Communication Psychology, Advanced Research Methods and Applied Statistics. We also expect a willingness and ability to take on further courses in the future, including those beyond the candidate´s primary area of expertise, in the department´s Bachelor´s and Master´s programs.Commitment to research, development and interdisciplinary cooperation is a prerequisite.
Courses are to be offered in German and if required also in English.
In addition to a strong commitment to teaching, active participation in the university’s academic self-governance is expected.

For this professorship, we are looking for a committed person, who has gained substantial professional experience in a responsible role outside the higher education sector and be motivated to contribute this expertise to teaching and applied research for the benefit of our students after completung a university degree in psychology or business psychology.
A degree in (business-) psychology and, preferably, a doctoral qualification in the field of (business-) psychology are required. Extensive professional experience in a position of responsibility outside academia is expected.
Candidates must demonstrate substantial experience in one of the focus areas: „Digital Experience and Human Behaviour“ or „Workplace Health Management“.
With regard to Digital Experience, sound knowledge of and experience in the user-centered design and evaluation of interactive systems are expected. Central to this are the psychological foundations of human-machine interaction, human behavior in dealing with technical systems, and their application, from classic usability questions to the evaluation of digital and AI-based applications and products.
With regard to „Workplace Health Management“, sound knowledge of and experience in the analysis, design and evaluation of oganizational change processes and / or health-promoting and future-oriented work design are expected.
In addition, sound knowledge of quantitative methods, including multivariate procedures, is desired, irrespective of the area of specialization.
Teaching will be mainly conducted in German, therefore very good proficiency in German (at least level C1) is required.
