For our Supply Chain Management team at our Burbach site (NRW), we are looking for a qualified candidate to join us as
Global Transport Manager (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Develop and implement a global transport strategy balancing cost, service, and sustainability
- Optimize multimodal transportation networks and manage global material flows
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track and improve transport performance
- Negotiate and manage logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements
- Ensure efficient transport operations and drive the implementation of digital tools for visibility and automation
- Ensure compliance with international trade, customs, and regulatory requirements and manage associated risks
- Take ownership of transport budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and support global projects and initiatives
Your profile:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Several years of experience in global transport management within an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of international transport processes, Incoterms, and customs regulations
- Experience with transport management systems (TMS)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost and performance management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in international matrix organizations
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Willingness to travel
