We are looking for a curiosity-driven and conceptually-minded candidate who enjoys interdisciplinary science and scientific discussion. To be considered for this position, you must hold, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in atmospheric dynamics, fluid dynamics, or a related field. As a suitable candidate, you have experience in conducting complex numerical simulations and scientific data analysis. Prior experience with moist convection and/or the ICON model will be an advantage but is not required. You should have experience in presenting your results to the scientific community at international conferences and through peer-reviewed publications in international journals. As a successful candidate, we will expect you to develop, conduct and present your own innovative research projects.
