Integration Architect (M/W/D)

WHAT CONVINCES US

Significant experience in integration, solution or platform architecture within a complex organisation
Strong knowledge of APIs, events, messaging, batch integration and hybrid integration patterns and of when to use which
Experience with enterprise integration platforms and cloud-based integration services, ideally on Google Cloud
Proven experience integrating SAP, enterprise applications, data platforms and external services
Practical understanding of integration security, resilience, observability and lifecycle management
The ability to guide engineering teams through complex design decisions and to influence without direct reporting authority
Strong systems thinking, pragmatic judgement and clear communication with engineering, architecture and business stakeholders
Business-fluent English; German is a plus

Shape and evolve Müller's enterprise integration architecture, including the target state and the roadmap to get there
Define clear integration principles for when to use synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven or batch approaches and establish reusable patterns for security, error handling, retries, monitoring and observability
Establish standards for API design, versioning, documentation, ownership and lifecycle management, while driving reuse through an integration and API catalogue
Provide architectural direction for our new integration platform and review key integration designs across the organisation.
Bring integration expertise into SAP S/4HANA, data platform and application initiatives from an early stage
Drive the transition from point-to-point interfaces towards strategic integration patterns, ensuring clear ownership, service expectations and support models for every interface
Collaborate closely with Process, SAP, Data and Technical Domain Architects as well as engineering teams to turn architectural principles into practical, implementable solutions
