Research associates (m/f/x) within the CRC 1491 (29,8725 h)

We are looking for several doctoral researchers (E13, 75%) to work within the Collaborative Research Center SFB1491 ("Cosmic Interaction Matters - From Source to Signal"). For detailed information of the program, we refer to www.sfb1491.rub.de/

We are particularly opening positions to join our teams in the following research areas: Plasma physics in astrophysical sources, i.e. cosmic-ray acceleration at shock fronts Dark matter and astrophysical signatures in dwarf galaxies Multimessenger emission from the Milky Way Cosmic rays in the transition region from Galactic to extragalactic sources Magnetodynamical modeling of galaxies Neutrino emission from Seyfert galaxies Multimessenger emissions from Tidal disruption events When applying, please indicate what topics interest you most.

Your tasks:

  • physics development for the search for cosmic interacting matter

Your profile:

mandatory:

  • a very good master's degreee in physics or a comparable discipline is required
  • strong interest in the research of SFB1491

desirable:

  • previous experience on the master's level in one of the above-mentioned topics

The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.

The place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.

If the position is funded by third-party funds the employee has no teaching obligation.
