Assistant Branch Manager [m|f|d]
The position is supporting the people management of the South African IT consulting and sales branch as well as for its strategic development in alignment with the directives of the German headquarters. The objective is to ensure stable operational processes, the continuous development of employees, and the sustainable scaling of the location in cooperation with the branch manager.
Your tasks
- Leadership of the local team & development of team structures, roles, and competencies
- Ensuring employee retention, motivation, and performance
- Close cooperation with HR, Administration, Finance, and Controlling (Germany) as well as the branch manager
- Supporting for operational processes, resource planning, and utilization in cooperation with organizational units
- Ensuring project and service quality in the consulting environment
- Implementation and compliance with processes, standards, and KPIs
- Ensuring compliance with South African labor law, local point of contract for labor law-related matters
- Regular reporting to management and Branch-Manager
- Support in budget planning and cost control
- Representation of the location internally and externally (as required)
Your profile
- Successfully completed business studies or a comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in a management or senior leadership role
- Proven experience managing teams in South Africa
- Sound knowledge of South African labor and social law
- Experience in internationally structured organizations
- Experience in the IT, software, or consulting industry
- Knowledge of ERP, TMS, or logistics software is an advantage
- Experience in medium-sized, owner-managed companies
- Understanding of project-based business, consulting models, or software implementations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- German: Business fluent / native-level proficiency (C1–C2)
- English: Business fluent

Work Environment
You will join a medium size but growing team at our Johannesburg Branch office. In addition you will be in daily contact with, and supported by, your colleagues at our head office in Kempten, Bavaria and several international branch offices from Poland, Spain and Germany.
Kindly note, due to the nature of our operations, all our positions are office based.
