At the University of Hildesheim, the Institute of Psychology, Faculty 1 – Educational and Social Sciences – a position as
is to be filled for a period of three years, starting as soon as possible.
The position is part of a DFG-funded research project on “Within-person variance and between-person differences in creativity”.
We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to join the Psychological Assessment working group, who wishes to engage scientifically with questions concerning the assessment of everyday fluctuations in creativity within the framework of a third-party funded project.
How does originality change in everyday life, and on which conditions do these fluctuations depend? These and other methodological questions will be explored within the project in the Psychological Assessment working group at the University of Hildesheim. As part of the doctoral/post-doctoral project, an extensive multivariate study using Ecological Momentary Assessment will be conducted. Ecological Momentary Assessment refers to a methodological approach in which psychological variables (e.g., originality) are repeatedly assessed in real time and in the participants’ natural living environments. The aim is to capture momentary experiences and behavioral processes in a way that is as ecologically valid as possible and with high temporal resolution.
The Psychological Assessment group is involved, within several projects, in the development of measurement instruments, the data analysis of existing datasets, and the implementation of multivariate studies. The substantive focus in research and teaching is on questions that ensure the quality of new and existing measurement instruments (validation of instruments, measurement invariance, test fairness, etc.). For the analysis of the resulting data, quantitative analytical methods are required that presuppose basic psychometric knowledge (e.g., structural equation modelling using R or Mplus, etc.).
As a family-friendly university, we offer a varied, interdisciplinary range of responsibilities, flexible working hours, regular training and professional development opportunities, and an annual bonus in accordance with TV-L. You can expect a dynamic, committed, and open-minded team.
