Are you interested in investigating how challenge-based university education can become a starting point for innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture creation? Would you like to study the effect of AI-supported tools that help students and PhDs validate ideas and prepare for start-up creation? Are you motivated to pursue a PhD within an international European university consortium at the intersection of entrepreneurship education, AI-supported workflows, and venture development?
This position offers the opportunity to combine scientific research with project work in an international European university alliance. You will work within the ECIU E-Campus project, an initiative of the ECIU University alliance ().
One focus of the project is the development and evaluation of AI-supported validation workflows. These tools will support students, lecturers, coaches, and entrepreneurship support units in guiding promising teams from early ideation toward structured pre-incubation. At the same time, the project provides an excellent foundation for pursuing a PhD in the field of entrepreneurship education, AI-based tools. and venture creation.
YOUR TASKS
- Contributing to an international project that develops an alliance-wide pathway from challenge-based learning and early idea validation toward pre-incubation and venture readiness
- Supporting the design, testing, and implementation of AI-supported workflows for student teams, lecturers, coaches, and entrepreneurship support units
- Conducting empirical research and presenting and publishing results at international conferences and in academic journals
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements
- Completed university studies (master degree or equivalent), in particular inBusiness Administration, preferably with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Learning Sciences (minimum grade of 2.5 according to German grading system)
Are also encouraged to apply if they have relevant experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, or digital tools.
Desired knowledge and personal skills
- Strong intention in pursuing a PhD
- Knowledge of empirical research methods and data analysis
- Interest and expertise in interdisciplinary and international collaboration
- Knowledge and/or practical experience in innovation management, entrepreneurship, venture development, start-up support
- Interest in AI-supported tools and digital workflows
- Very good English language skills, written and spoken
