Business Developer – Industrial Vehicles & Petercem Sensors / Railway (m/f/d)
For more than 30 years, TSL-ESCHA has been developing, manufacturing and distributing door pushbuttons, signalling devices and LED lighting for public transport on rail and road, as well as robust LED lighting solutions for industrial applications. Since 2021, TSL-ESCHA has been a member of the MAFELEC TEAM, a family-owned French group specialised in human-machine interfaces for harsh environments, designed for demanding markets: railway and industrial vehicles, aerospace, defence, energy, elevators and industrial equipment. Within the group, Petercem Sensors is the specialist for voltage and current sensors used in power electronics for mobility, energy and industrial applications.

Business Developer – Industrial Vehicles & Petercem Sensors / Railway (m/f/d)
This is a dual-focus role combining the development of our Industrial Vehicles business (MAFELEC group portfolio: refuse collection vehicles, special-purpose trucks, airport and road equipment, agricultural and construction machinery) with the sales development of Petercem Sensors on the railway market (voltage detectors, voltage measurement, current measurement). You will be the key driver to grow both market segments in the DACH region and beyond, leveraging the full strength of the MAFELEC TEAM.
Ihre Aufgaben
Your Responsibilities
- Active business development and acquisition of new customers in the Industrial Vehicles market (e.g. refuse collection vehicles, special trucks, airport equipment, road and agricultural machinery) for the full MAFELEC product range – control and signalling, joysticks, control boxes, emergency stop devices and safety equipment
- Sales development of Petercem Sensors on the railway market, with a clear focus on voltage and current sensor technology (CS, ES, HRS, NCS, VD and VS ranges) for rolling stock OEMs, system integrators and key rail customers (e.g. SBB, ÖBB, Deutsche Bahn, Stadler, Siemens Mobility, Alstom)
- Identification and qualification of new project opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline for both market segments
- Analysing customer needs and translating them into tailored technical and commercial solutions in close cooperation with our product managers and engineering teams
- Preparation and negotiation of quotations, contracts and pricing agreements up to closing
- Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with decision-makers at OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and end customers
- Close cooperation with the MAFELEC TEAM sister companies (MAFELEC, Petercem Sensors, Petercem Switches, Comtronic, Full Electronic System, Stopcircuit) to leverage cross-selling opportunities
- Market and competitor analysis, identification of trends in industrial vehicles and railway power electronics
- Representing the company at trade fairs and industry events (e.g. InnoTrans, PCIM, IAA Transportation, bauma)
- Reporting on activities, pipeline, forecast and budget to the Sales Director
Ihr Profil
Your Profile
- Completed technical or commercial education (degree, technician or comparable qualification), ideally with a background in electrical engineering, electronics or mechatronics
- Several years of professional experience in technical B2B sales or business development, ideally with electronic or electromechanical components
- Industry know-how in at least one of the following segments: industrial / commercial vehicles, railway rolling stock, or power electronics (sensors, converters, traction systems)
- Solid technical understanding of customised, project-driven product solutions and a willingness to learn new technologies (e.g. voltage and current sensors, LED lighting, HMI)
- Proven track record in customer acquisition, negotiation and closing of mid- and long-term projects
- Strong networking skills and a confident, customer-oriented appearance towards technical and commercial decision-makers
- High degree of self-motivation, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Excellent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken – French is a plus
- Confident handling of MS Office and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel within Europe (approx. 30–40 %)
