Employment Requirements

The employment requirements and performance standards set forth in Sections 67 and 68 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG) apply. A doctoral degree in psychology and relevant additional academic achievements (e.g., a habilitation) are required. We expect the research to be aligned with the research priorities of the clinical and non-clinical departments of the Institute of Psychology and the Department of Human Sciences. Furthermore, experience in successfully securing competitive external funding, as well as evidence of teaching expertise and a strong commitment to teaching, are required.

The Institute of Psychology is committed to transparency and the intersubjective verifiability of research (Open Science, including Open Data, Open Materials, and pre-registration). Applicants are therefore asked to describe how they have pursued these goals in the past.

International applications are welcome. The Institute of Psychology is also seeking to increase the proportion of female professors and encourages applications from qualified women.
