Doctoral Position in Macroeconomics

The (Professor Dr. Stefan Niemann) at the Department of Economics of the University of Konstanz is inviting applications for a position as a PhD candidate. The initial contract will have a duration of three years (with a possible extension). The successful candidate will also be enrolled in the .

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and tutoring at the Chair of International Macroeconomics
• Conduct research in Macroeconomics
• Develop and apply quantitative macroeconomic theories and methods
• Publish in academic journals and present at conferences
• Collaborate on research projects with academic partners

Your Competencies

• Strong written and oral communications skills in English
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Interest in research questions addressed by the research group
• A very good scientific graduate degree in economics or a related field (e.g. mathematics, physics or computer science) is mandatory
