We invite applications for the position of Manager of the SurveyLab. The SurveyLab is a core facility of the University of Konstanz, supporting researchers of the University with their surveys. The SurveyLab acts in close collaboration with the Working Group of Survey Methods in the Department of Sociology. The manager’s responsibility is to support researchers with their surveys, develop the capacities of the SurveyLab in innovative field of survey research and make an independent contribution to survey methods research.
The Surveylab is part of the Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” which brings together researchers from political science, sociology, economics, linguistics, and related disciplines. Together, they study the political causes and consequences of inequality, focusing on how people perceive inequalities, how these perceptions influence collective mobilisation, and how political actors react. In doing so, we adopt a broad perspective on inequality, examining dimensions such as education, income, wealth, environmental conditions, political and social rights, as well as privileges.
