Research Position in Human-Computer Interaction

### (full-time, E 13 TV-L)

## Reference no.: 2026/008. The start date is 01.04.2026, or later by agreement. The position is available till 30th June 2027, and is paid according to the collective agreement E 13 TV-L.

The research position is funded by the Collaborative Research Center Quantitative Methods for Visual Computing (). You will be part of the project (). We work toward improving interaction with immersive technologies through novel user interfaces and interaction techniques by studying human perceptual processing, behavior, and experience.

We are looking for a candidate who is inherently curious and strongly self-driven, who can work independently, but also enjoys teamwork and collaboration. The working language is English.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate interactive systems for Mixed Reality in Visual Computing
  • Disseminate research results at top-level journals and international conferences through publications and presentations
  • Assist in teaching and tutoring

Your Competencies

  • Solid background in Computer Science, or equivalent, with respective graduate degree
  • Solid development skills (e.g., tools and technologies for web development, Unity)
  • Good knowledge of HCI-related concepts (e.g., user-centered design and evaluation)
  • An avid interest in interactive Mixed Reality technologies (VR, AR, etc.)
  • Excellent English language skills in speech and writing
  • Experience in the following is optional but beneficial: statistical data analysis
