This is what the University of Münster stands for as one of the strongest research-oriented universities in Germany and one of the largest employers in the region. Every day, over 7,000 employees devote themselves to cutting-edge research and excellent teaching. We share more than a workplace. We share the desire to make a real impact – regionally and internationally. Our day-to-day work is distinguished by diversity, openness and space to pursue one’s ideas. Become a part of our team – in academia, a technical or manual trade, or administration.
The University of Münster invites applications to its Else-Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung Medical Scientist Programme InFlame addressing the dynamics of infection and inflammatory processes and offers

6 positions for Postdoctoral Research Associates (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin, salary level E 13 TV-L)

**for externally funded projects at earliest 1 January 2027. We are offering fixed-term full-time positions (100%) for 4 years.

We seek highly motivated young scientists with extraordinary academic capabilities and a PhD degree in Life/Natural Sciences (medicine, biology, pharmacology, (bio)chemistry, and computer science). Applicants should have extensive laboratory and/or data analysis/management experience and a special interest in the topic.

The Postdocs will pursue cutting-edge research through individual, interdisciplinary, and coordinated projects to investigate inflammatory processes and the underlying molecular mechanisms associated with severe diseases. Research approaches integrate basic and translational/clinical aspects and include molecular and cell biology, imaging, animal models, flow cytometry, OMIC technologies, data integration, and artificial intelligence to address key questions in inflammatory diseases. The Postdocs will be integrated into the research focus area ‚Cell Dynamics, Inflammation and Imaging‘ of the University of Münster, which includes many research consortia and networks on this topic (SFB1450, KFO342, SFB1348, TRR332, TRACI, IZKF) and offers a stimulating scientific environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and excellent intramural funding options.

Through a structured programme, participants will also receive patient- and clinic-oriented training, close interactions with our local Clinician Scientist Program CareerS, academic career development support, and personalized mentoring to foster their scientific careers.**
