The Institute of Philosophy at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a

Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin, salary level E 13 TV-L)

starting on 1 November 2026. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 3 years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

Your tasks:

  • conducting research in Theoretical Philosophy (preferably in philosophy of language, metaphysics, and/or epistemology)
  • teaching of two courses each term (4 SWS)
  • participating in existing research projects and supporting the development of new ones
  • contributing to academic self-administration

Our expectations:

Required is:

  • a graduate degree (M.A./ M.Sc /Diplom/ Magister) and PhD in Philosophy
  • research project in Theoretical Philosophy

Desirable is:

  • international experience
  • teaching experience
  • ability to teach in German
