The Institute of Physics in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a
Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin, salary level TV-L E 13, 100%)
**at the earliest possible date.
We are offering a fixed-term full-time position (100% FTE) for two years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester. The position provides the opportunity to work towards further academic qualification.**
Your tasks:
- Steady-state and time-resolved optical measurements of 2D semiconductors and semiconductor quantum dots
- Supporting the research groups of Prof. Bratschitsch, Prof. Krenner and Prof. Wurstbauer
Our expectations:
- A completed PhD in physics or material science is required.
- A completed Master in physics is required.
- Experience in and knowledge of micro-photoluminescence spectroscopy on 2D semiconductors and GaAs quantum dots using closed-cycle cryostats are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of strain engineering of 2D semiconductors using micromachined piezoelectric actuators are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of the fabrication of 2D material heterostructures via dry transfer techniques are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of magneto-optical spectroscopy in closed-cycle cryostats and a magnetic field up to 9 T in Faraday geometry are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of polarization-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy of 2D semiconductors are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of second- and first-order autocorrelation measurements, Hong-Ou-Mandel indistinguishability measurements, time-resolved optical spectroscopy, and entanglement tomography measurements using avalanche photodiodes, superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors, and high-resolution time-taggers are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of entanglement swapping with remote quantum dots are required.
- Experience in and knowledge of the software Matlab, Mathematica, Origin and Python are required.
- Previous postdoc experience in semiconductor optics is desirable.
