The Faculty of Law (FB 03) of the University of Münster seeks to fill the following position at the earliest possible date:

Professorship (W2) in “Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law” with additional expertise in a specific field of criminal law (successor to Professor Steinl)

The prospective appointee should be an outstanding, internationally distinguished figure who can represent the entire spectrum of research and teaching in the subjects of German criminal law and criminal procedural law. The candidate should also have achieved visible distinction in a specific field of criminal law (preferably international European or economic criminal law).

To be considered for this position, the candidate should hold a university degree and possess pedagogical aptitude in university teaching and special academic qualification, substantiated by the quality of their doctoral degree. The candidate should also possess extensive academic experience obtained through an assistant professorship (Juniorprofessur), habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, industry, administration or other relevant field in Germany or abroad.
