THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:

  • independent research on the theoretical description of waveguide polartons in hybrid integrated photonics waveguide/TMDC structures as part of subproject W02
  • integrating 2D crystals and waveguide circuits: Active components and versatile exciton spectroscopy with the CRC 1477 LiMatI
  • theory development of nonlinear polariton interactions
  • numerical evaluation of mode structures in laser-written photonic surface waveguides
  • development of detection protocols for nonlinear phase shifts
  • optimisation of waveguide polariton interaction through statistical inference
  • support of data analysis from experiments performed within the CRC subproject W02

THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:

  • completed university degree (state exam, diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in Theoretical Physics with very good results
  • very good knowledge of theoretical quantum optics and condensed-matter theory
  • experience with statistical inference methods is welcome
  • willingness to work in a collaborative environment is essential
  • very good english language skills
