MICRO-NEST is a Horizon Europe project investigating interactions betweeen the microbiome, immune system and brain in neurodevelopment and autism. At the University of Rostock, the project focuses on integrating heterogeneous molecular, imaging and clinical datasets into an Autism Knowledgebase and applying network-based and machine-learning approaches to develop personalised computational models. The resulting models will be used to investigate disease mechanismus and identify predictive markers and potential therapeutic targets.

THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:

  • research in the field of systems medicine
  • develop methods and workflows for the integration and analysis of heterogeneous biomedical data
  • analysis and integration of transcriptomic, imaging and other multimodal biomedical datasets
  • construction, curation and analysis of biological network-based methods to identify predictive markers and therapeutic targets
  • integration of biological databases, pathway information and external data resources into computational analyses
  • contributing to the development of patient-specific computational models and the Patient-Personalised Autism Digital Twin
  • close interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination with clinical, experimental and computational partners
  • writing, publishing and presenting scientific results and contributing to the scientific organisation of the project

THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:
