For the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychology and Education we are looking for an

Academic employee (m/f/d) in the field of mental health

This position is advertised within the context of the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG).

The Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at Ulm University is involved in the Digital Mental Health infrastructure as well as various DZPG projects (including EMA & Smart Sensing / MHAD / digital interventions / AI-based innovations).

Our department possesses extensive expertise and international visibility in the fields of eHealth, psychotherapy research, and health services research (). You will become part of a dynamic team with strong national and international networks and numerous opportunities for innovative research.

The position is initially limited to a term of up to three years; however, as the DZPG is a long-term infrastructure initiative, it offers excellent future prospects.

Your profile:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a comparable empirically and experimentally oriented degree program
  • Enthusiasm for academic research and a high level of self-motivation to pursue a doctorate
  • Strong interest in and fundamental competence regarding clinical psychology and psychotherapy
  • Strong interest in topics related to digitalization and AI innovations
  • Strong communication skills, enjoyment of teamwork, and high resilience
  • Excellent written and spoken command of English and German
  • Knowledge in the fields of IT, data science, or psychoinformatics is an asset

Your responsibilities:

  • Participation in the department's DZPG-related research projects, particularly in the areas of EMA and Smart Sensing (including DAMOS https://osf.io/5ukt9/overview), MHAD, and digital health interventions across various life settings.
  • Intention to pursue a doctorate is welcomed and supported
  • Scientific networking and participation in the DZPG Early Career Scientist Program
  • Participation in national and international conferences
  • Co-supervision of BSc and MSc students
  • Involvement in the department's academic self-administration
  • Teaching within the Department of Psychology
