As part of our ongoing development and integration into the Nextpower Group, we are seeking an entrepreneurial individual to further develop our finance organisation and act as a close strategic partner to the management team.
In this key role, you will take responsibility for finance, accounting, reporting and compliance, whilst also becoming part of our leadership team.
You will support the management team in strategic and operational decisions and help to successfully guide ZIMMERMANN into its next phase of development.

Your tasks:

Leadership & Finance

• Leading and developing the finance and accounting team
• Building a scalable finance organisation to support future growth
• Further developing reporting, planning and controlling processes
• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

Business Partner to the Management Board

• A sparring partner for the Management Board on financial and strategic issues
• Support with investment decisions and growth projects
• Ensuring transparency regarding profitability, cash flow and working capital
• Preparation of business cases, analyses and decision-making documents

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

• Ensuring compliance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), IFRS and future group requirements
• Collaboration with auditors, tax advisers and banks
• Establishing and further developing internal controls and governance structures
• Support with SOX and compliance requirements

Integration & Transformation

• Actively supporting integration into the Nextpower Group
• Collaborating on ERP, reporting and finance projects
• Working closely with Nextpower’s international finance teams
• Further developing processes, systems and structures

What we expect from you:

• A successfully completed degree in finance, accounting, controlling or business administration
• Several years’ experience in a senior finance role
• Experience as Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Controller, Head of Accounting or equivalent
• Good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and, ideally, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US-GAAP)
• Experience with audit, reporting and compliance matters
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork
• Very good command of German and English
